More than 250 people attended an open house, which took place on Oct. 2 , from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Purpose Point Learning Academy (PPLA).
The 3,000 sq. ft. PPLA, which opened Oct. 4, is housed at Chattanooga’s Mt. Canaan Baptist Church, 4801 Highway 58, Suite 105.
Attendees at the open house included community residents, Hamilton County School Board members, representatives from Chattanooga City Council, prospective and enrolled parents, congregants of Mt. Canaan Baptist Church, clergy from around the city, and PPLA members as well as all of its staff.
PPLA–in partnership with Chattanooga Christian School–is a high-quality early learning program providing a nurturing, safe and positive environment for children ages 12 months to 12 years.
Its child-centered approach and creative curriculum focuses on assisting kids with homework and scholastic readiness, as well as social and emotional skills and development.
“Pastor Jordan would like to thank all of those who came out to support our open house,” said PPLA Executive Director Ellwanda White. “It reassures us that we sincerely do have a ‘village’ helping to raise and pour into the lives of the children we are serving and will serve.”
PPLA is open year around, Monday-Friday, 6 a.m.-6 p.m., but closed on state holidays.
