Community comes out in droves for Free Covid-19 Testing Events

Cars circled the block around Avondale YFD Center revealing the desire for Chattanoogans to know their status when it come to Covid-19. This event was part of a series of free testing events being conducted this month sponsored by Cempa Community Care, LifeSpring Community Health and Alleo Health.
“…These areas are most susceptible to this virus. Minorities have not been a priority as it relates to testing in our communities. We need to ensure that WE are cared for in the same manner as everyone else. Covid-19 has been yet another staple in a long list of health disparities that continue to leave the underserved population in a disadvantaged position as it relates to our health”, said LaDarrius Price, CEMPA Community Outreach Coordinator. “We want the minority communities to know, your health is a priority too!”
