Last week the Urban League of Greater Chattanooga hosted its 7th Annual Entrepreneur Power Luncheon incelebration of National Black Business month and to raise awareness of the Urban League’s economic empowerment efforts, and the success of minority-owned businesses connected to the Urban League movement. ULGC has a long history of fighting for the success of Black and other minority-owned businesses, and we continue to work tirelessly to fully implement our new and more responsive Center for Economic and African American Business Success (CEAABS).
This new empowerment center at the Urban League aims to provide a culturally responsive ecosystem of support for African American and other minority- owned businesses to accelerate growth, expand networks, access, and knowledge for sustained business success.
During the celebration nearly $20,000 were awarded to Black-owned businesses and two awards were given. The event underwriter was Pinnacle Bank and other top sponsors were: Tennessee Valley Authority, Unum, Regions Bank and Enterprise Holdings.
